Yui Fujishiro

Japanese violinist Yui Fujishiro enjoys playing as a chamber musician, a recitalist and an orchestral player. She made her solo and chamber music performances at major venues including Toppan Hall, Suntory Hall (Blue Rose), Daiichiseimei Hall, Sumida Triphony Hall in Tokyo. She is also active as the first violinist of the String Quartet Marché, giving many outreach activities and concerts.

Yui has won several awards and prizes including the 3rd prize at the All Japan Arts Association Competition 2010, the Study Abroad Special Scholarship from Tokyo College of Music, and the Japan Foundation for Regional Art-Activities Outreach Program Artist.

Her festival appearances include Salzburg Mozarteum Summer Academy, Charterhouse International Music Festival, Lake District Summer Music Festival, London Master Classes, where she worked with?the internationally renowned musicians including, Paul Roczek, Klaus Hertel, Sylvia Rosenberg, Thomas Brandis, Leland Chen and Gyorgy Pauk. She has been chosen to attend Leipzig International Music Academy with the scholarship, where she had a master class with the Leipzig String Quartet and appeared a concert at the St. Thomas Church. She has also been invited to 51st Collegium Musicum Schloss Pommersfelden Summer Music Festival in Germany.

Yui holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from Tokyo College of Music, where she studied with Isako Shinozaki, Yasuko Ohtani and Yoshio Unno.?She has also completed her Postgraduate Diploma study at the Royal Academy of Music, London, under the tutelage of Richard Deakin.
